Respect for nature
THE WELL-BEING OF THE PLANET
Respecting nature means embracing its regenerative power and choosing products that reflect this respect. When we opt for food grown with care and attention, we are nourished not only with nutrients, but also with the positive energy that comes from sustainable production. Each fruit becomes a combination of health and love for the earth.
Commitment to the Environment: Our choice to adopt organic farming is rooted in a deep respect for the environment. We use farming methods that exclude the use of pesticides and synthetic fertilizers, instead favoring sustainable practices to maintain soil health and preserve the biodiversity of our land.
Genuine Products from Raw Material of Excellence: Our IGP hazelnuts and almonds, the fruits of committed organic cultivation, are the raw materials for the creation of unique and genuine products. From their freshness and quality come our delicious spreads, prepared with artisanal care and without the addition of preservatives or artificial additives.
An Authentic Taste: Our spreads are not only a treat for the palate with high-quality organic ingredients, but we make sure that our contents reflect the expectations of consumers looking for authentic and healthy products. We guarantee that those looking for organic and genuine products will find the delicacies of Cascina San Martino Alta Langa.
How we grow
Hazelnuts and almonds
GRASS CHOPPING AND SOWING
At Cascina San Martino Alta Langa, we adopt the method of grass chopping followed by sowing grass to promote sustainable land management. As well as maintaining a well-maintained green area, grass chopping promotes the formation of humus, enriching the soil naturally. Subsequently, grass seeding helps to preserve soil fertility by promoting vegetative cover that reduces erosion and creates a favourable environment for biodiversity.
WEEDING SEEDLINGS
Weeding seedlings of weeds is an operation performed with a hoe, a respectful gesture towards nature. This practice keeps the soil free of unwanted weeds, allowing our crops access to essential nutrients without competition. The hoe becomes a healing tool, preserving the vitality of the earth in a sustainable way that is in harmony with our commitment to organic and responsible agriculture.
GREEN MANURE
In our commitment to regenerative organic farming, we implement green manure as a key practice. This process consists of sowing specific crops that, once grown, are chopped and used as organic fertilizer to enrich the soil. Not only does green manure contribute to natural fertilization, but some of our sowings are also selected to encourage bee pollination, thus promoting healthy agricultural ecosystems.
MANUAL SUCKERING
Manual suckering is a practice performed with love and attention to detail in our fields. This process involves removing unwanted suckers from plants, promoting more vigorous and focused growth. This craftsmanship ensures that each plant receives the attention it needs to develop in a healthy and productive manner, contributing to high-quality crops.
The Climate
UNIQUE AND RARE
THE BREEZE AND THE SEA
In this enchanting valley, the climate favourable to almond cultivation is revealed as a true gift of nature. Here, the gentle breeze from the sea, accompanied by the moist warmth of the sea wind, creates a unique and ideal environment that favours the flourishing of the majestic almond trees. The beneficial influence of this special combination of atmospheric elements contributes significantly to the wellbeing of the almond trees, which fully express its bounty.
